Changing The Odds Guided Support provides a range of NDIS and community-based supports designed to empower individuals to build independence, strengthen wellbeing, and reconnect with culture and community.
Our supports are person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful, recognising that each individual’s journey, goals, and needs are unique.
We work alongside participants to provide practical guidance, mentorship, and support that promotes long-term stability, confidence, and meaningful connection.
Individual Mentoring and Guided Support
We provide one-on-one support designed to help participants build confidence, develop resilience, and work toward their personal goals.
Supports may include:
• Building confidence and motivation
• Developing routines and structure
• Guidance through life challenges
• Mentoring and personal development
Community Access and Social Participation
We support participants to engage with their community, strengthen social connections, and increase independence.
Supports may include:
• Attending appointments
• Participating in community activities
• Accessing social and recreational opportunities
• Building confidence in community settings
Capacity Building and Life Skills
Our supports focus on helping participants develop practical skills that support independence and daily living.
This may include:
• Goal setting and personal development
• Communication and decision-making skills
• Routine building and organisation
• Developing everyday life skills
Emotional Wellbeing and Recovery Support
We provide compassionate support for individuals navigating mental health challenges, trauma, and recovery journeys.

Cultural Support and Connection
We recognise the importance of identity, culture, and belonging in wellbeing and recovery.

Advocacy and Service Navigation
Navigating support systems can be challenging. We work alongside participants to help them access the services and supports they need.
This may include:
• Advocating for participants’ needs
• Supporting communication with services
• Navigating NDIS and community supports
• Assisting participants to work toward their NDIS goals
Community Programs and Engagement
Changing The Odds also works collaboratively with organisations and community groups to deliver programs focused on wellbeing, recovery, and community connection.
Programs may include:
• Mental health and wellbeing workshops
• Alcohol and other drug (AOD) recovery support
• CBT-informed wellbeing strategies
• Cultural connection programs
• Group workshops and yarning circles
